Fluoride                  Fluoride is a proven way to decrease cavities in children. There are 2 types : topical fluoride and fluoride vitamins. Dr. Denholtz recommends appropriate fluoride for each child, depending on thier needs.           Sealants                    Sealents are grest for kid's teeth. They prevent or delay the need for fillings at about 20% of the cost and is often covered by dental insurance.             Interceptive

"Intercepting" an orthodontic problem early usually means less or no time in braces! Dr. Denholtz screens

Using the "Tell - Show- and Do"

   technique, children are easily introduced

to prevention and healthy life-long habits .

Pictures taken inside your child's mouth

can be shown on an in-room TV to

 illustrate what they are  taught.

Dr. Denholtz's  love of children and

his pediatric training  during his Beth

Israel residency make your  child's visit a pleasure for

him or her. Praise and rewards make your child  feel

good about their necessary dental visits. A routine first

visit usually  includes cleaning and topical fluoride.  X-rays and  prescription fluoride vitamins are considered based on the

your child's age and needs. Dr. Denholtz  recommends a first dental visit be between 2-3 years of age. Usually,

children will see  Donna, our hygienist, first. Prevention and good rapport are our goals.
